Overall Condition Excellent condition

Nib Correct and perfect 14K flugelfeder ("wing nib" - see picture below) nib in Fine (F) size. The wing nib design was an effort to modernize the nib design during the mid-1950s. The result is an extremely nice nib with enough flex to provide very nice shading in everyday writing. The nib is in excellent condition, with crisp imprints and the early smooth feed.

Body and Base The pen and base show minimal surface wear, and the ink window is perfectly clear. There are no cracks, chip, owner imprints or damage to the set.

Additional details While Montblanc wing-nibbed pens from this period are not uncommon, a desk set is somewhat rare. This would make a stunning addition to any Montblanc collector's desk, and the pen should be a fantastic writer with its flexible nib.
Pen has been filled with water to test the condition of its seal. It appears to draw and hold water without difficulty.

Payment by money order or cashiers check. Domestic buyer can pay by personal check, but must wait for it to clear my bank before shipment. International buyer by money order or bank draft in US funds, or by SWIFT wire transfer (additional $10 charge applicable). Payment through PayPal is acceptable if the funds originate from your bank account or PayPal balance rather than a credit card.

Buyer to pay actual cost of shipping via priority mail plus insurance. Will ship internationally, but again, buyer to pay shipping costs plus insurance.
