Overall Condition Example of an uncommon vintage model in Excellent condition.

Nib Correct and perfect original 14C nib in Oblique Broad (OB) size (matches filler knob marking). All imprints are crisp and perfect.
This nib is a wonderful writer, not only being an oblique but also very flexible.

Cap and Body Excellent condition with no cracks, imprints or significant scratches. There is light surface wear on cap and body, and no visible brassing to clip and cap band.
Ink window is completely clear.

Additional details This model is seen occassionally, but is not as common as the 254 model released about the same time. When Montblanc created the 25x line, they made a step towards modernity, with the unprecendented use of wing nibs and slip caps. But to satisfy those customers who did not want to take such a distinct step away from previous designs, the 264 was created with a traditionally shaped nib and a screw-on cap. One of the distinct advantages of the design is that the model is not as susceptible to the pressure cracks in the cap that is regularly seen on the 25x pens.
This pen has excellent balance and is wonderful to use. This would make a superb daily writer.

Pen is fully functional and ready to use.
