Filler Type Button-filler Date of Manufacturer 1935-36 Overall Condition Pre-War 3xx series pens are difficult to find (much more so than their 2xx counterparts). This rather rare pen is in Good/Very Good condition, with very good cap and blind cap imprints and superb color. Nib Alloy Montblanc #4 nib in Fine size (matches blind cap marking). Cap and Body No cracks, scratches, or owner imprints. Cap and blind cap imprints are deep and crisp (included the outlined snow peak on the top of the cap). The body and cap are made of black hard rubber, and have superb, deep color. Additionally, the cap has the Stoffhaas imprint that is somewhat rare. The Simplo imprint on the body is very faint, but still mostly visible. There is no brassing on the clip, but there is noticeable plating loss on parts of the single cap ring.
Additional details This is a good example of the high-quality that Montblanc put into their "everyday" pens prior to the 1960s. While the 3xx series were the base model line for the company until the 1960s, the quality of their fabrication was superb. The imprint reflects the fact that the pen was sold through the Stoffhaas retailers. This company was formed in the 1920s to sell Montblanc products exclusively.
