| Nib | Correct and perfect original 14C nib in Oblique Broad (OB) size (matches filler knob imprint). All imprints are crisp and perfect. Feed is the early flat type.
This nib is a extremely flexible writer with great character due to its oblique cut. |
| Cap and Body | Good condition with no cracks or significant scratches. Excellent cap and filler knob imprints, with most of original color present. There is light surface wear on cap and body. Minute brassing on the cap band.
There is a corporate imprint on the cap ("SHELL"). The pen has the earlier outline of the Montblanc snowpeak on the derby instead of the inlaid snowpeak, but it has the later band around the cap lip itself. These are nice, since they help prevent the pen from developing cap lip cracks. Blue ink window has excellent clarity.. |

This was the larger model in Montblanc's third price-level product line of the mid- to late-1950s. This would make a terrific daily user due to its balance and wonderful nib. Pen is fully functional and ready to use. |
